A little help choosing

What will work best for you?

A few everyday details can make all the difference.

Do I need a landline or broadband?

No landline or home broadband is needed. The alarms use a mobile SIM connection. The home alarm works within range of its base unit; the watch and mobile pendant can also be used away from home, subject to mobile coverage.

What about charging and power cuts?

The home base unit plugs into the mains and has a battery backup for power cuts. The watch and mobile pendant need regular charging. During your welcome call, we’ll explain the charging routine for your chosen device and help you plan when to charge it.

Can I organise everything for a relative?

Yes. You can choose and pay for an alarm on someone else’s behalf. We’ll explain what we need from the person using the alarm and help agree the right contacts and response arrangements. Family members can join the welcome call if the person would like them to.

How it works

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions

Find out more about choosing an alarm, joining the service and getting support.

Can I arrange an alarm for a relative?

Yes, you can order an alarm for a relative. The person paying can be different from the person using it. We’ll explain any further service-user information and agreement needed during enrolment.

Will the falls detector detect every fall?

No. Automatic falls detection cannot detect every fall. Wear and use your device as instructed, and press the help button if you need assistance and are able to do so. Falls detection raises an alert; it does not prevent a fall.

When will my alarm arrive?

We aim to deliver your alarm within 3–5 working days of confirming your order. We’ll explain the delivery arrangements and help you get started. Receiving your equipment does not activate monitoring; setup and testing must be completed first.

When will my service be active?

Monitoring starts once enrolment, equipment setup and testing are complete and you have received confirmation that the service is live. Sending an enquiry or arranging payment does not activate monitoring.

What does the personalised setup include?

We’ll call to welcome you, talk through your alarm and answer your questions. We provide personal phone support with setup and testing, and confirm when monitoring is active. You’ll review your monthly payment, one-off setup fee and full service terms before paying.
